Working with the Community, for the Community

Pelican Park Community Trust became a not-for-profit organisation in 2010 and registered charity, whom have come along way over the last seven years. Starting up as a Friends of Pelican Park, a constituted group, the charity are now responsible for improving and developing 12.9 acres of green space, thanks to gaining a 25-year lease from Hull City Council. There is a real need to protect green spaces within the City and improve much needed sports facilities for people of all ages to use, get active, stay fit and improve their health and well-being. Increasing sport participation within the city is much needed to improve health related issues currently affecting people’s general health.

The charity now have a new Community Pavilion, that provides 2 x large changing, toilet, shower facilities for teams, 2 x smaller changing, shower, toilet facilities, main office, meeting room/training room, cafe, kitchen, storage and plant room. With a £250,000 investment, the community now have facilities to be proud of and use on a regular basis.

If you would like to get involved in volunteering opportunities, or feel you would like to be part of this fantastic charity, please call the Team on 01482-703114 or email info@pelicanparkhull.org
