School Holiday Activities 

The Coaching Team at Pelican Park offer a wide range of multi-sport and learning activities during school holidays.  Sessions are available for young people aged 5-16 years who want to get involved and stay active. Sessions are delivered throughout:

  • February Half-Term
  • Easter Holidays
  • Whit Week
  • Summer Holidays
  • Autumn Break (October)

Gates open at 10am for registration with sessions starting at 10.30am – 3pm with a 45-minute break for lunch.  All you need to do it register with the Charity, pay for the days you wish your child / children to take part, ensure they have a packed lunch and refreshments with suitable clothing, taking the weather into consideration. The sessions a varied throughout the day, with plenty of opportunities to try a number of new sports.  Please check the notice boards situated around the site, social media such as Facebook and Twitter or ring the Coaching Team on 01482-703114.

The Charity offer a wide range of multi-sport activities throughout the year that benefits people of all ages.  The Team are constantly looking at ways of engaging more people into some form of positive activities that are seen to improve their general health and well-being. We all know that finding the time to exercise can be difficult and sometimes costly, however at Pelican Park we aim to help you participate at the same time as having some fun at affordable prices.

Club 55  – is  for both males / females over the age of 55 who want to get involved in light exercise, meetup and make new friends.  Sessions take place every Thursday from 1pm – 3pm offering various activities and day trips to garden centres, shopping, bowling, theatre and other places of interest.

School Projects

Pelican Park Community Trust have established a fantastic reputation, working in partnership with schools within  Kingston Upon Hull to achieve and surpass the national curriculum requirements for physical education.

Our qualified Coaches deliver both Physical Education and School Sport Coaching in line with the latest Ofsted framework – to ensure children under our tuition receive the best possible education and our schools be assured we operate with best practice. School Holiday Workshops

During the school holidays there are opportunities to get involved in multi-sport activities such as kwik Cricket, Tennis, Football, Rounders, Basketball, Badminton and much more.

With qualified coaches on site children of all ages get to take part in all of these sports, along with fun team games such as It’s a Knockout and Water Games. The age range is from 6-14 years old with sessions running throughout the school holidays from 10.30am – 3.30pm. Check website for future workshops and activities.

Youth Activities

Various Group Sessions – taking place after school, providing opportunities for young people to develop new skills in a safe playing environment.

The Coaching Team will use their expertise to ensure young people develop skills through our programme of coaching that is both positive and rewarding within a safe sporting environment.

TEEN ZONE  Youth Provision – January 2018 will see the opening of a drop-in youth club for young people aged 12-17 years at Pelican Park.  Check our Facebook page for official opening times.

Football – Pelican Rangers AFC:

Pelican Park is the home of Pelican Rangers AFC with over 7 teams affiliated to the East Riding County FA. The teams age range is from Junior to Adults with an Open Age Team. The Academy takes place every Saturday morning from 10am-11am at Pelican Park, with all ages welcome. There are also a number of Football Schools taking place throughout the School Holidays, check Facebook for further details and regular updates.
